Sometimes a ledge is a good thing! The ledges I am looking at are for home decor purposes. Right now I have four, two for me and two for my son. They are simple to make and cheaper than buying them. Here is where I got my directions…Shanty 2 Chic Picture Ledge.
I was not as fancy about my put together…I used screws for connecting the back to the bottom and finishing nails for the front piece.
Those have a high back, they were for my son’s room and I finished them with a diy stain and Minwax Paste Finishing Wax.
This set is for our master bedroom in the first picture you can see my coat of Sunbleached Varathane stain and the second is the second coat of Dark Walnut Varathane stain. I love this specific stain because you can varnish or poly with in an hour, yes awesome! I finished my set with Minwax Paste Finishing Wax, I like it because the smell does not interact with my heart conditions.
This is N’s set…looks awesome against his chalkboard wall!
